Incoming Senior Completes Naval Academy Seminar
Johnny Wichard recently completed the Naval Academy Summer Seminar, a six-day experience for students who have completed their junior year of high school and are interested in applying for an appointment to the academy after graduation.

Order Your Uniforms for the 2009-10 School Year
Westway Uniform Company provides the approved uniform items for SMCHS students. It is highly recommended that all freshmen and new students come to the store in July to try on uniforms before purchasing.

Check Your Mailboxes Next Week
Information will be sent to homes regarding online book sales on July 7th. It will include academic schedules and the necessary code to place your book order online. Upgrades have been made to the system making it more user-friendly.

SMCHS is offering a number of athletic camps this summer for all ages, including youth camps for "Future Eagles."

"Berserk at Ballroom" Earns National Recognition
Inspired by a bad ballroom dance experience, MaCall Manor wrote an award-winning story that sent the SMCHS incoming sophomore to New York where she received a national writing award at Carnegie Hall on June 4.
