Early Dismissal: Boys Varsity/JV Golf and JV boys Tennis at 1:15p, Varsity and JV Girls Softball, Boys F/S volleyball at 1: 45p and Boys Varsity tennis at 2:05p

Activities:

Congratulations once again to the Eagle Dance Team for another successful day at competition this weekend. The dancers came home with 9 trophies in all including 1st place in the Medium Dance division and an impressive 3rd place in the Hip-hop division! Soloists Amanda Brewer, Alyson Soong and Deja Pelayo each took home 2nd place trophies in their very competitive solo divisions. This Thursday the Dance Team will travel to Walt Disney World in Florida to defend their National Champion titles in the Lyrical, Jazz, hip-hop and Ballet Divisions. Good luck Eagle Dancers!

A Silver Bracelet has been turned into the front office. The rightful owner can identify it and pick it up!

Attention Seniors!
Mother's Club is looking for some fun seniors to model in their annual fashion show May 2, 2010.
Pick up an application in Activities office this week or get one off the website. Only 75 seniors will be able to participate so get your applications in early! The deadline is March 12th. If you have questions come to Activities Office.

Need service hours?!
SMCHS is hosting the 2nd Annual Trinity League Food Drive from March 1st through 5th. It is an event taking place at Mater Dei, JSerra, Orange Lutheran, and Rosary too.
Donated cans will be sent to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Irvine, California.
You can contribute to this worthy cause by bringing canned food items during the first week of March (1st – 5th), to either the front or back entrances of the campus within 30 minutes before or after school. Just look for the NHS tables and bins.
Bring 10 cans for one whole service hour. You can earn a maximum of two hours.

Working Wardrobes Club is collecting gently used prom, bridesmaid, & formal dresses, of any length and accessories this week and next. Deliver to Activities Office on a hanger please. Any questions ask Emily Haines.

Please turn in your See’s Candy Orders to the Front Office by Wednesday, March 3. Thank you for your support!

Campus Ministry:

CMF is tonight from 6pm-7:30pm in the chapel, our presenter is the ever FABULOUS Ms Lauren Brown. Her topic is "God’s Timing is Perfect". Come have a wonderful night of faith, fun and Friends.

All Juniors please be in your testing room by 7:15 AM on March 9th & 16th for IOWA testing.

Irvine Valley College has an Early Priority Registration Program for high school seniors. Today is the first day to submit an application. The deadline to submit applications is March 31st. Flyers are available in the counseling office.

From now until the end of the school year there will be a robotics and garden clubs meeting after school on Wednesdays in room G117 Mr. Stark's room.

There is a mandatory debate meeting Thursday March 4th at 6:50 am in G119

Have you heard about Star of the Show? Star of the Show is a unique concert that will feature over 200 of your fellow students, faculty and staff members and will take place Saturday, March 13 at 7pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to see your classmates sing, dance and much more! The evening will feature a special performance in the brand new Eagle Athletic Center. Tickets are $20.00 per person and can be purchased at the Front Offi6ce. All proceeds will benefit the future performing arts center. Get your ticket today!

CSF applications are due by Tuesday, March 9th at 3:00 pm. CSF is an academic honors organization comprised of students who have earned a GPA of at least 3.0 and have met the additional CSF grade requirements. The application and additional details are available under the California Scholarship Federation section of the SMCHS website. Seniors must apply to be eligible to wear the gold cord at graduation.

Irvine Valley College is hosting a senior day on Tuesday March 9th from 11:30am-1:30pm. Additional information is posted on Naviance and flyers are available in the counseling office.

Saddleback College is hosting its 10th annual Senior Day on Thursday March 25th from 11:30am-2:00pm. Additional information is posted on Naviance and flyers are available in the counseling office.


Sports:

Today at 3:00pm our girls soccer team takes on Esperanza in the CIF semifinals. We want a large cheering section so come out and support our Lady Eagles!

Our Lady Eagles Basketball team plays in the CIF finals, Thursday night at 6:30pm at Mater Dei. We are organizing a rooter bus to go to the game. Please come to activities for a permission slip and sign up!
