New Weight Room Opens
The SMCHS football team tests out the brand new weight room in the Eagle Athletic Center.
With a new state-of-the-art weight room, daily work-outs might not be so bad after all. Santa Margarita Catholic High School students had the opportunity to work-out in the new facility this week - with free weights, cardio equipment and circuit training.
The environmentally friendly center is on track to become the first LEED-certified green building in the city of Rancho Santa Margarita and within the Diocese of Orange. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The official blessing and opening of the Eagle Athletic Center is planned for Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
