2017-18 Season

The 2017-18 Talon Theatre season, "Choose Love!" explores the idea that community begins with recognizing our community humanity and the rights of all to live in peace by breaking down barriers and striving for understanding. In order to do this, we must "Choose Love!" Both shows selected for this Talon Theatre season are musicals that offer a glimpse into how true community begins with personal relationships.

Fall Production: "Godspell"

As scripture tells us, Jesus developed a community of followers who after Pentecost went forth to spread the Word which began the early Christian Church. As Jesus developed a community of followers who after Pentecost went forth to spread the Word which began the early Christian Church. As the central character in "Godspell" and the model for relationship in our lives, Jesus teaches His followers the lesson for creating community through parables. These parables become the central form of storytelling in "Godspell," punctuated by some of the most dynamic musical numbers written for the stage by Stephen Schwartz.

Talon Theatre students will create an environment of love, peace and community where they will build “A Beautiful City” within a homeless encampment.
