Distribution Amount: $5000 to be distributed to one student
Distribution Method: Award will be applied according to your tuition payment schedule

History:
Clint “CJ” Hubbard graduated from SMCHS in 2001. While at Santa Margarita, CJ played on the boys basketball team and excelled in the classroom earning two varsity letters and graduating with a 3.9 GPA. Using his infectious personality and leadership skills, CJ contributed to multiple student organizations. He served as ASB freshman and sophomore class president and as a Kairos retreat leader. CJ's shocking passing in November 2009, the result of a brain hemorrhage, left many looking for a way to carry on his legacy. As a result, his family and friends started The CJ Hubbard Foundation to provide scholarship opportunities in the name of a man who inspired so many.
Critria/Requirements:
In the desire to recognize talented SMCHS students with demonstrated financial need, the friends and family of C.J. Hubbard established the following scholarship criteria:
- Demonstrate financial need. – FACTS Application Required
- Junior or senior student, male or female.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic in and out of the classroom.
- Involvement in athletics is a preferred quality, but not necessary.
- Completion of the C.J. Hubbard application form.
- The scholarship recipient will write an acknowledgement letter to the donor with a copy to SMCHS Advancement Department.
