Coach Kevin Ricks - Varsity Girl's Water Polo
 
Head coach Kevin Ricks returns for his ninth year with the Eagles and leads one of the most dominant girls water polo programs in Southern California.  Coach Ricks leads the team into a tough schedule facing the very best the state has to offer.  Coach Ricks has produced numerous All-League, All-CIF, All-County and All-American selections in his time as the head coach.  In addition, he has lead the team to 8 of the last 9 league championships while reaching the CIF Division I finals once, the CIF Division I Semi-finals three times and qualifying for the CIF playoffs each season.  Coach Ricks also acts as the Aquatics Manager of SMCHS and lives in Costa Mesa with his wife and daughter and son.

Coach Rich Blanc - Junior Varsity Girl's Water Polo
 
Coach Rich Blanc begins his fourteenth year assisting with the girls water polo program. During the last fourteen years, Coach Blanc has helped to develop numerous athletes for the varsity level and beyond.  In addition to coaching water polo, Coach Blanc runs the varsity swim teams at Santa Margarita. As head coach, the girls and boys varsities have been ranked in the Orange County Register’s Top 10 every season. Under his tenure, the Eagles swim team has produced 24 All-Americans and 92 All-CIF swimmers. Coach Blanc teaches AP Economics at Santa Margarita and is a huge fan of high school and college football and basketball.
 

Coach Christina Maher - Frosh/Soph Girl's Water Polo
 
Coach Christina Maher, begins her first season as the frosh/soph coach.  However, she is no newcomer to the game.  Coach Maher has been a part of the SMCHS aquatics family for a long time.  As a player, she played four years of water polo and was a four year member of the swim team.  She competed at the varsity level two seasons and helped the team reach the CIF Division I finals in 2003 and the CIF Division I Semi-finals in 2004.  She moved on to play water polo at Sonoma State for four years before returning to Southern California to help with her family's business.  Her experiences as an alum and playing collegiate water polo make her a tremendous asset to the program.
