SUCCESS STORIES
Nicole Gordon
Class of 2013
Nicole Gordon is getting the most out of a Santa Margarita Catholic High School education. The sophomore has immersed herself in school activities. She even formed a campus club, Unite for Children, and began the school's Debate Team.
"The school didn't have a debate team, so I thought 'why not start one'," she says.
Nicole is involved in the school's Model United Nations program and had the opportunity to travel to London for a mock meeting of the United Nations; she is vice-president of her sophomore class; plays tennis; sings in the school choir; participates in the school's Mock Trial program, which helps students acquire a working knowledge of our judicial system; and is a member of Next Step which educates middle school students about the dangers of drugs – all of this while taking a full load of honors courses.
"The education I receive at Santa Margarita has been really comprehensive," she says. "Between athletics, arts and academics it's really a balanced education. There are so many opportunities here with the variety of programs."
