Alumni Return to the Nest for Career Day
Alumni Return to the Nest for Career Day
Dozens of SMCHS alumni recently returned home for our Alumni Career Day. This event is held annually for the junior class and is always inspiring and meaningful for both students and alumni.
The day began with a panel discussion (led by Patrick Keane ’91), where students heard from our speakers on topics ranging from college decisions to making the most of every obstacle and opportunity that comes their way. Students then got the chance to introduce themselves to and connect with alumni who work in industries they are curious about. From there, breakout sessions began in classrooms across campus. In these smaller groups, students asked questions and gained insight on moving towards their envisioned career path.
SMCHS Alumni Coordinator Brandi Lopez ’98 says the day is representative of what it means to be an SM alumni.
“We always talk about how your life as an Eagle doesn’t have to end when you graduate, and this day is confirmation of that,” Lopez says. “To have so many alumni who are eager to mentor and interact with our students shows just how formative the SM experience is.”
Alumni from the following industries were represented:
Business

Engineering
Entertainment
Finance
Graphic Design
