Continuing the Legacy: Swim & Dive Postseason Accolades
The Santa Margarita swim and dive program has found massive success this season yet again.
After sweeping all six levels to win the boys' and girls' Trinity League titles, both boys and girls earned the CIF-SS Division 1 champion title. This is the boys' fifth consecutive win, and the girls' 11th consecutive win of this honor.
At CIF State finals, girls swim won their 6th consecutive CIF State championship. No other school in history has more than one. The boys earned 11th place out of over 350 other schools.
Diver Valentino Nieto ’25 won the Trinity League title and the Division 1 CIF-SS Diving title with a score of 506.70. He also got 3rd at the CIF State qualifier meet, and earned 3rd at CIF State with a score of 514.15, contributing 18 points to boys swim and dive.
Girls swimming also won in the 200 Medley Relay, the 200 Individual Medley, 200 Free Relay, 100 Backstroke and 400 Relay.
