Cora Fry ’26 Awarded Numerous Post-Season Honors & Coach Craig Bull Earns Coach of the Year

Cora Fry ’26—a standout SMCHS girls soccer athlete—has had quite a year. The junior played a major role in the success of the varsity season that culminated in a three-peat Trinity League title and a CIF-SS Open Division title. Fry was awarded three significant post-season honors this year: Trinity League MVP, Orange County Player of the Year, and CIF Open Division Player of the Year. For one athlete to earn all three of these titles is an extraordinary honor.

“These accolades and honors mean a great deal to me,” Fry said. “I had my heart set on personal goals and team achievements for the year, and it is a blessing to accomplish everything I wanted and more.”

Fry, who is verbally committed to further her academic and athletic pursuits at the University of Tennessee, credits Santa Margarita soccer with playing a massive role in her unwavering love for the sport.

“My SM soccer teammates have impacted me by giving me a sisterhood and family I am forever grateful for,” Fry added. “I could not have accomplished the things I did without their hard work, determination, and love for the sport.”

Fry also said Coach Craig Bull has helped her “become the best soccer version” of herself.

“His belief in me and my abilities has pushed me to become better and better every time I step on the field. I am forever grateful for a coach like him.”

Coach Craig Bull earned the CIF-SS Open Division Coach of the Year award for his efforts in leading the team through yet another winning season. In just his third season with SMCHS, Coach Bull has continued to foster a culture of excellence in the girls soccer program.

Congratulations to Cora, Coach Bull and the entire girls soccer program!
