Creating Lasting Memories Across Generations at SM

Creating Lasting Memories Across Generations at SM

Santa Margarita’s campus was filled with joy as grandparents and special friends were welcomed for a memorable morning. The celebration began with a Mass shared alongside grandchildren.

Grandmother Susan Pebley reflected on how meaningful it was to attend Mass and share the morning with her grandson.

"Multigenerational gatherings are special," she said. "It was encouraging to hear all the nice comments about grandparents and the role we play in our grandchildren's lives. Thank you for honoring us."

Following Mass, students led their guests on campus tours, offering a firsthand look at daily life at SM. The morning concluded with a festive brunch hosted by the SM Grandparents Club in the Moiso Family Pavilion, where guests gathered to connect and enjoy breakfast.

"It was such a lovely and well-organized event. There were so many thoughtful details that made us feel so special. Living on the East Coast, it was wonderful to see firsthand that our grandsons attend such a caring school. We encourage any grandparents who haven’t experienced Grandparents Day to attend," said Harry and Debby Beck.

More than 480 grandparents, students and special friends were in attendance, including founders and original benefactors of the school.

“It is a full-circle experience for them to see their grandchildren on campus, reaping the rewards of their generosity and dedication. The memories created on campus for both students and guests will last a lifetime,” said Laurie Beach, Executive Director of the Santa Margarita Eagle Foundation.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day was a beautiful reminder of the strong bonds between generations and the vibrant community that makes Santa Margarita such a special place.
