Thank you to everyone who helped make the Eagle Classic Golf Tournament 2022 a huge success. An impressive $310,241 was raised this year, the most ever for the annual Santa Margarita Catholic High School golf tournament. The tournament is the primary fundraiser for 33 teams and programs.
Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club bustled with 262 golfers on North and South courses. The day concluded with a silent auction and dinner. President Andy Sulick ’91 asked Santa Margarita alumni, faculty and staff members to stand for appreciation applause at the dinner. “At Santa Margarita, we stand on the shoulders of giants with the work of so many great people through the years,” said Sulick.
More than 9,000 balls were sold for the ball drop and the lucky winner received $5,000. Congratulations to ball drop winner Vickie Lindsay, grandmother of Benjamin Lindsay ’25.
Tournament Winners:
The baseball program raised the most money through ball drop sales. The team was awarded $1000 toward a team bonding event of their choice. Jake Lutterloh ’25 lead the sales with a grand slam total of 400 balls. "I am enjoying being part of the baseball program, and have made so many great friends in it," said Lutterloh. "I just wanted to do my best to support the program."
“This year’s Eagle Classic Golf Tournament was a huge success largely due to the incredible work of the teams, programs involved and our generous sponsors, donors and underwriters,” said Laurie Beach, Senior Director of Advancement. “Our Eagle family is dedicated to enhancing each student’s Santa Margarita experience.”
Thank You Sponsors!
