SMCHS Celebrates the Class of 2026 at Commencement

Santa Margarita Catholic High School celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 at the Commencement Ceremony held on May 28, 2026, at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

The graduating class of 473 graduates concluded their high school journey. Collectively, the class earned 3,105 college acceptances and will continue their educational pursuits at 157 colleges and universities across the nation. The ceremony featured remarks from Principal Cheri L. Wood and a special message from Erin Barisano, Ed.D., Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Orange. Valedictorian Bridget Crafts ’26 addressed her classmates, reflecting on their shared experiences and encouraging fellow graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Diplomas were conferred by The Most Rev. Thanh Thai Nguyen. Among the graduating class were 27 legacy families, with one or both parents who are alumni of Santa Margarita.

Following the conferral of diplomas, the celebration peaked as streamers and confetti erupted from the ceiling while the Anaheim Ducks’ signature horn echoed throughout the Honda Center. Sparkler jets illuminated the arena, adding to the excitement as graduates, families, faculty and staff celebrated this milestone.
