SMCHS MUN Travels to London for Royal Russell Conference

SMCHS MUN Travels to London for Royal Russell Conference

The Santa Margarita Catholic High School Model United Nations program traveled to London to participate in the prestigious 43rd Annual Royal Russell Conference.

During the four-day conference, SMCHS students represented the countries of India and Costa Rica, engaging in debates on a wide range of global issues alongside delegates from ten different countries. (UK, Ireland, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Romania, Italy, France, Japan and the US) Through rigorous discussion, negotiation and collaboration, our students demonstrated exceptional diplomacy, critical thinking, and global awareness.

We are proud to share that six of our delegates received Distinguished Delegate Awards, and the Delegation of India earned the Highly Commended Delegation Award, a remarkable achievement on the international stage.

Beyond the conference, students had the opportunity to explore London’s rich history and culture. Highlights included visits to St. Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the Tower of London, Borough Market and London Bridge. The trip offered a perfect blend of global learning, cultural discovery and team bonding.

As the only U.S. school that attended the conference, SMCHS MUN continues to represent our community with excellence and leadership on the world stage.
