Eagle Classic Raises Record-Breaking Funds for the School's Programs and Sports Teams

The Santa Margarita Catholic High School community descended upon the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club for an amazing day of fellowship and fun on Monday, March 18 for its annual Eagle Classic Golf Tournament which raised a record-breaking $290,563 for the school’s programs and sports teams. 291 golfers teed off on both the north and the south courses, and 360 guests enjoyed a delicious dinner buffet following the fun day of golf.  The “Luck of the Irish” was the theme for this year’s post St. Patrick’s Day tournament, and among the lucky winners were the “Most Spirited Foursome” awarded to the team of Steve Siciliani, Jeannette Siciliani, Rick Nogueira and Semra Nogueira. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to bid on a wide selection of auction items and the entire school community participated in the helicopter ball drop which sold 8,850 golf balls. Britt Rodgers was the winning bidder of the live auction opportunity of a day of golf and dinner with school alumnus and professional golfer Beau Hossler.  Members of the SMCHS Grandparents Club contributed to the day’s fundraising efforts with an opportunity board that netted $10,000 for a scholarship fund that awards scholarships for students with financial need.
