Seniors Recognized by College Board National Recognition Program

SMCHS congratulates eight seniors who have scored in the top 2.5% among junior test-takers in this region on the PSAT/NMSQT. Students who identify as African American, Hispanic American or Latino, Indigenous or attend school in a rural area or small town are eligible to receive this recognition. As a result of being recognized by the College Board National Recognition Programs (CPBRP), these students are invited to participate in the program.

Recognized Seniors:

Amanda Duffy
Andrea Smith
Caitlin Hallisy
Emily Freeborn
Isabella Longhi
Matteo Bautista
Nathalie Barnes
Roland Chavez

The CPBRP creates college pathways for students by awarding them academic honors and connecting them with universities. The CPBRP grant students academic honors that may be used on college applications. Colleges use these honors to identify students from underrepresented groups who have excelled on their PSAT/NMSQT and in their classrooms.

Juniors interested in National Recognition Programs are encouraged to sign up for the College Board Student Search Service. Universities and scholarship programs use Student Search to find students awarded recognition. Please visit the CPBRP website for more information.
