In May, the Santa Margarita Catholic High School's girls swim program won their third consecutive state title with a state meet record while also setting a national overall high school record in the 400-yard freestyle. The girls program won six individual events. Also competing at this meet was the Santa Margarita Boys Swimming and Diving team who placed second at the state championships, their highest finish in school history. The wins come on the heels of an eighth consecutive CIF-SS championship for the girls program while the boys captured their second straight title.
