Girls Golf Places 3rd at CIF-SS Divisional Championships

Congratulations to the girls’ varsity golf team for placing 3rd at the CIF-SS Championships

October 30, 2018

Congratulations to the girls’ varsity golf team for placing 3rd at the CIF-SS Championships this past Monday at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills. The CIF-SS championship format is broken up into four southern section divisions; central, eastern, northern and southern. The Eagles playing out of the central division, finished in the third and final qualifying spot with just the top three teams in each of the four divisions advancing to the CIF-SS SCGA team qualifier to be played Thursday November 1st in Oxnard, California.

The Eagles were led by a solid one-two punch up front in Kiara Boggs (73) and Abrielle Wang (75) on the par 74 course. Freshman Jade Zamora came through with a big performance, shooting 79, with Justine Cook (80), Maya Robilio (84) and Bridget Hayden (88) rounding out the Eagle scoring (391).

In a virtual best of the best in southern California format, the 12 teams that placed in the top three of their divisions yesterday will now all go head-to-head with the top four advancing to the CIF/SCGA Southern State Regional Championship. A caveat to the team format, the top 28 individual players who are not a part of a team that is advancing, will move on to the CIF/SCGA Southern State Regional Championship.
