Student Artwork Exhibited in the Festival of Arts

Nineteen Santa Margarita visual arts students were selected to have their artwork on display at the nationally-renowned Laguna Beach Festival of Arts Junior Art Exhibit. These students were chosen to participate in the juried Laguna Beach show from the countywide art festival, "Imagination Celebration," earlier this year. Imagination Celebration highlighted over 1,400 students and their artwork from grades K through 12 throughout the county. SMCHS students had 63 pieces displayed as part of Imagination Celebration. Following the show, student artwork was chosen to participate in the Festival of Arts. In the 2-D category at the Festival of the Arts, *Mary Botros earned second and **Mason Plum placed third. Student artwork can be seen this summer from July 5 to Sept. 1 at the Festival of Arts grounds in Laguna Beach.
