College Information Sessions are available for SM students and the community. All grades are welcome to attend and learn about the different schools (including parents). There are information sessions hosted at SMCHS as well as regional information sessions available on this page. Please check back for new upcoming sessions.

ROTC Scholarship Workshop

April 10th from 7:30am-8:30am in the Borchard Library

Sophomores and Juniors - if you want to learn more about the application process for the ROTC scholarship, please attend this workshop led by SSgt Cosio Herbert. The ROTC scholarship can pay for your college tuition at many schools across the country. During the workshop, he will walk you through the application process, review eligibility requirements and discuss the different deadlines. Juniors - please sign up on Naviance and ask your teacher for permission.

Sophomores - please talk to your counselor for help signing up on Naviance.

UCI Research Program - Webinar

Wednesday, April 17th from 6pm-7pm.

Learn more about Experience University Research program for local high school students. In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the EUR courses offered in July and August, 2019. We will also explore the student benefits of this program, such as gaining the opportunity to perform better in high school, preparing for college, and enhancing college applications. Participants must register to reserve a space and receive login information.


Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Presentation for High School Students

Our local community is offering an event focused on advice from experts in a variety of fields of medicine. Students and parents will learn about the college admissions process, careers in the medical and dental fields, and the best way to explore and prepare to pursue these goals.
