INTRO TO TAPA PROGRAM
Grades: 6-8
Courses run from August – May. The conservatory is open to all students in the community, homeschool, public school and other private school students. Learn from experienced faculty and staff at SMCHS, experts in the field of performing arts.
Schedule
The Intro to TAPA conservatory program class meets one day a week from 4-6 p.m. on Thursdays at SMCHS. The 2024-2025 year begins on Aug. 22.

Intro to TAPA classes
Grades: 6-8
- Intro to TAPA classes will be offered on Thursday afternoons
- The focus is on enrichment for acting, singing and dancing
- Students will perform with other TAPA students from upper grades.
- The Intro to TAPA program will provide top-notch instruction
- Intro to TAPA is enrichment-only based and will not receive Fine Arts credit through SMCHS.
Intro to TAPA Steel Drum Band
NEW! Starting Spring Semester 2025
- January-May 2025
- Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm
- Open to current 6-8 graders at any private school, public school, or homeschool
- Tuition: $500
- No musical experience necessary
- Learn the basics of playing the steel drum and other percussion instruments
- Perform alongside the SMCHS Steel Drum students in May 2025
