SUMMER Weekly VOICE CLASS anD PRIVATE LESSONS
Grades: 9-12
Summer is a busy time for the Talon Academy of Performing Arts (TAPA). In addition to our production of “Into the Woods Jr.” in July, TAPA welcomes the vocal studio of Mr. Chris Gomez. Students can register through TAPA to join the studio for a weekly voice class and/or private voice lesson. The studio is open to all incoming 9-12th grade students. ABOUT CHRIS GOMEZ
Chris Gomez is a dynamic tenor and choral/vocal pedagogue, dedicated to cultivating confident, expressive singers of all ages and experience levels. As a professional choral artist, Chris sings with several professional ensembles including the Long Beach Camerata Singers, Tonality, and Pacific Chorale, the OC's premier professional choral organization. As a classical soloist, he performs frequently with Con Gioia Early Music Ensemble and the Colburn Baroque Ensemble and is featured as a guest artist in churches throughout Southern California. He is also an active studio session singer, requiring a deep understanding of a variety of musical styles and vocal techniques.
As a vocal pedagogue, Chris emphasizes healthy technique, versatility, and expression of text. Former students have proceeded to some of the best college programs in the country for classical voice, musical theatre, and pop music. Chris is happy to serve the young vocalists of Orange County as Director of Choral & Vocal Music at Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
