Athletic Registration FAQ
Please reference the list of common athletic registration errors below for assistance in completing your student's athletic registration. If you are unable to find a solution to your trouble on this page or require further assistance, please contact the athletic training staff by emailing AT@smhs.org.
1. The signature portion of the registration process needs to be completed or completed again.
2. You completed your student's registration, but did not upload your physical.
3. You believe you uploaded the physical properly, but still received a denial email stating your student's physical needs to be attached to their registration.
1. The signature portion of the registration process needs to be completed or completed again.
- Please log back into AthleticClearance.com using the same email address and password you signed up with prior to completing your student's athletic registration.
- On the 'Clearances' page, click the pencil icon next to the word 'incomplete' in the 'Signature' column.
- Complete the signature fields with your student. Note that the parent signatures are required on the top section of the page and student signatures are required on the bottom section of the page.
- Once completed, click 'Submit' and email the athletic training staff using the email address above and ask for a review of your student's registration.
2. You completed your student's registration, but did not upload your physical.
- If you completed your student's registration, but have not yet uploaded their physical, you DO NOT need to start the registration process over. Simply log back into AthleticClearance.com using the same email address and password you signed up with prior to completing your student's athletic registration and follow the next few steps.
- Please note: It is possible to complete the registration process without uploading a physical, however, SMCHS will not consider your student's registration complete unless a valid, signed and dated physical is attached to each registration.
- Even though the status will read 'Completed' in the 'Physicals' column, if there is no file attached SMCHS staff will deny registration. To fix this, simply click the pencil next to the word 'Completed'.
- On the next page, click the button that says 'Choose File' or 'Browse' or other similar phrase.
- In the pop-up box, navigate to your student's physical and click Open, Save, etc...
- Click the 'Save' button on AthleticClearance.com
- Please email the athletic training staff using the email address above and ask for a review of your student's registration.
3. You believe you uploaded the physical properly, but still received a denial email stating your student's physical needs to be attached to their registration.
- AthleticClearance.com has now included a document library for users to store their scanned documents. However, SMCHS personnel cannot view these files for review. The files must be attached to each sport registration in order for SMCHS personnel to review them. Please follow the steps below if you believe you have uploaded to the document library, but still received a denial email stating a physical is still needed.
- Even though the status will read 'Completed' in the 'Physicals' column, if there is no file attached SMCHS staff will deny registration. To fix this, simply click the pencil next to the word 'Completed'.
- On the next page, click the 'Choose from Documents Library' button.
- Then, make sure the radio button next to the appropriate files is selected and click 'Submit to Attach Clearances' button.
- You will be taken back to the Physical Upload page and you should see a file listed.
- Please email the athletic training staff using the email address above and ask for a review of your student's registration.
