Santa Margarita Catholic High School is proud to announce the first ever Girls Flag Football Head Coach, Mr. Brad Finneran '94. Coach Finneran '94 is an Alumni of SMCHS, Class of 94, where he played football and basketball. His football career carried on past SM as he played at Villanova University. He graduated Villanova, class of 98, with a degree in Business Management.
Coach Finneran resides in Trabuco Canyon with his wife Lindsay and his daughters Brooke and Avery. When asked about what he looked forward to most about his new position, he said, "I am looking forward to coming back to SMCHS in this role and I am excited for the inaugural Girls Flag Football season."

Jim Bastian- Junior Varsity Head Coach
Coach Bastian is a partner with the Irvine law firm Shulman Bastian Friedman & Bui LLP. He obtained his BA in Political Science from UCLA and his JD from Southwestern University in Los Angeles. Coach Bastian has been a volunteer youth sports coach for over 30 years including 9 years with Santa Margarita Pop Warner. He is also chair of the Board of Directors of Lion’s Heart and serves on the Community Board which governs Mission Hospital.
