Join us as Lynn Reimer from ACT (Adolescent and Community Training) on Drugs follows up her student presentation with a presentation to parents about the use of alcohol and drugs among today's youth. This presentation will cover how people use drugs today, the effects of substance abuse on brain development in teens, the signs you can look for with your own child and other topics.

ACT on Drugs is a non-profit organization that provides interactive, scientific-based, quality training to youth, schools, parents, community organizations, and coalitions about the facts and consequences surrounding drug use. ACT prepares youth to become confident decision-makers and responsible citizens and strengthens efforts to support a safe, healthy, drug-free community.

Cyber Safety Parent Presentation

Tuesday, November 14, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Following a student assembly on Cyber Safety, we invite all SM parents to join us for the Cyber Safety Parent Presentation. Parenting in the Digital World author Clay Cranford will lead a seminar to prepare parents to effectively supervise their children on social media sites, protect them from online threats and bring a technological balance back into their homes.

The presentation should help to empower parents and take control of their child's technologies. Click here to view more Cyber Safety information.
