Andréa Vega | Andréa Vega, prior to this role, was the Head Athletic Trainer at Mission Viejo High School. She graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State Northridge and a Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Chapman University. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut and moved to California at a young age. She grew up in Paso Robles, California where she attended Paso Robles High School. Andréa has previously taught Sports Medicine to students interested in her field and profession.

Hope Warren | Hope Warren, prior to coming to Santa Margarita, was the Head Athletic Trainer at El Toro and Estancia High Schools. She graduated with her B.S. in Athletic Training (2016) from Union College in Barbourville, KY, where she also played collegiate softball. She went on to get her Master's in Health Science from University of St. Augustine in 2018. Hope also teaches Sports Medicine at SMCHS. She was raised in Orange County, where she attended San Juan Hills High School. 

Mike Burns | Mike Burns, prior to Santa Margarita, Burns was a member of the University of California, Irvine Athletic Training staff for 20 years. Before UCI he also had stints at Pepperdine, Stanford and Kenyon College. In 1995, Burns earned his bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge in Physical education with an emphasis in Athletic training. He went on to earn his Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Athletic Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Burns has been National Athletic Trainers’ Association certified since 1996.

Physical therapy may be required for some injuries and post-surgical athletes. The Santa Margarita Sports Medicine team works closely with several of the physical therapy clinics in the area and does not endorse any of the providers listed below over another.
