PARKING PERMITS
Please be advised that driving and parking at SMCHS is a privilege, not a right. Parking on campus is provided for student convenience and is not a requirement nor guaranteed. Parking on campus is always at your own risk.
- All vehicles that drive on to campus or parked at/near an SMCHS event are subject to search.
- SMCHS parking permits are required for cars, trucks, motorcycles, electric bikes and electric scooters.
- All student drivers using a motorized vehicle (automobile, electric bike, electric scooter) to commute to campus must register that vehicle with SMCHS Security.
- All student drivers must complete an acknowledgment form to show a basic and full understanding of the SMCHS Student Driving and Parking policy's expectations.

SENIOR Parking Permit Sales:
Monday, July 1 at 12:00 p.m. – Monday, July 15 at 12:00 p.m.
JUNIOR Parking Permit Sales:
Wednesday, July 17 at 12:00 p.m. – Tuesday, July 30 at 12:00 p.m.
Parking Permit Pickup
Thursday, August 8 – Friday, August 9 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Grotto.
On Campus Parking:
Off Campus Parking:
Those students that do not have an on-campus parking permit and plan on driving to campus, should park on Dove Canyon Drive, which is located just off of Plano Trabuco, on the backside of campus. All students parking off campus are required to register with SMCHS Security and get a free SMCHS Dove Canyon Drive parking permit. DCD parking permits will be distributed at the Strader Grotto near the lunch shelter. Parking on either side of DCD is fine, but please pay attention to the “no parking” area on the downside of DCD. Street sweeping on DCD is completed during the p.m. hours. DO NOT park in the residential areas adjacent to campus.
Parking Disturbution:
Qualifying juniors and seniors who purchase a parking permit will be able to pick up their parking permits Thursday, August 8 – Friday, August 9 during their designated student orientation time.

Parking permits will be distributed at the Strader Grotto near the Lunch Shelter. Students who purchased the parking permit must come with their driver's license and receipt (e-ticket). All students must complete an SMCHS Parking Acknowledgement form before receiving their permit. The SMCHS Parking Acknowledgement form demonstrates a full understanding of SMCHS Driving/Parking policy. Only the student who purchased the parking permit is eligible to pick up the permit. If a student cannot pick up their permit themselves, an adult may pick up the permit if they have the parking permit receipt (e-ticket) and a copy of the student’s valid driver's license.
Seniors and juniors unable to pick up their parking permits during the designated time (August 8 - August 9) must make other arrangements by emailing parking@smhs.org.
